Race For A Cure

Our teeny tiny Drakey Baby.
Mr. Buck Owens snuggling with me!
The husbands making sure their wives are all ready for the race.
Lining up to begin the race.
And off they go!

Mojave Off Road Racing Enthusiasts (M.O.R.E.) puts on a women's only race once a year in October to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer. This past weekend, I attended this event where my friends were racing their Class 1 Car and totally kicked butt! I couldn't be more proud of my girls for completing the race with 5 laps totaling 125 miles! These women sure showed their husbands how to properly race! ;)

Hello Yellow

Yellow Cotton Tweed Dress: Zara (here)
Necklace & Bracelets: Vanessa Mooney
Clutch: Monserat de Lucca (similar here)
Heels: Ted Baker London (similar here)
It's definitely been awhile since my boyfriend and I have had the chance to spend the whole weekend together due to his hectic work schedule. So when we found out that he had both Saturday and Sunday off, we started thinking of ways to take advantage of this rare occasion. We began both days with delicious brunches at places we've been wanting to try and then we ran some errands, went on a bike ride, and went to our friend's birthday celebration on Saturday. Sunday was the perfect lazy day for us to just sit back and enjoy each other's company. We pretty much spent the whole day lounging around after brunch while curled up on the couch as we watched Shark Tank together.

Bleach Day

White Dress: For Love & Lemons 'Lulu Maxi Dress' (here for $172)
Necklace: Jenny Bird (here)
Bracelets: Vanessa Mooney 'Fight the Power Studded Bangle' here for $125
and 'Fight the Power Criss Cross Bangle' here for $120
This dress. It's just simply gorgeous as all other For Love & Lemons dresses are. It's been sadly hanging in my closet for quite some time now just waiting for me to find the right occasion to wear it. I finally decided that I'd wear it on my birthday because there's nothing like throwing on something that makes me feel beautiful to help forget that I've turned another year older.

Even though my birthday last weekend was full of hiccups, the little bit that did go as planned was amazing. And I owe it all to my amazing family, boyfriend, and friends (especially those that traveled from as far north as Santa Barbara and as far south as San Diego). If that doesn't make a person feel special, I don't know what does! Thank you to all of my beautiful friends that love me enough to go to such great lengths just to watch me spend most of the night sick lol. I love you all! xoxo
