Girls Gone Wild

I just got back from one of the most amazing off road camping trips with Eddie and a bunch of friends last night and now I'm rushing to prep and pack for my Portland trip. I leave for over a week in less than 20 hours and I'm nowhere near ready so I have to keep this post short and sweet.

Last week before I left for my camping trip, a couple of my girlfriends and I had a little dress-up party like tweens so we could have a silly mini photo shoot in front of a dead bee mural lol. We all threw on some animal print pieces of clothing (girls gone WILD...get it?!?! Hahaha) for our lunch date and ended with these pictures.

I should probably get back to packing but make sure to keep an eye out for pictures of my awesome camping trip next week and Portland the following week. I'm so scatterbrained right now I can't even think properly! Ahhhhh there's just so much to do and not enough time!

Wrap It Up

Milo (my pup) and I took a mini roadtrip up to beautiful Santa Barbara and visited some of my friends that were too in love with SB to leave. They decided to stay put after graduation, which means a free couch to crash on whenever I feel the urge to make a last minute trip up like this lol. We took a trip down memory lane while we admired the magical sunset and picnicked on the beach like the good ol' days.

It's really crazy to think how quickly time passes by. Six whole years ago when my parents and Milo dropped me off at UCSB, we picnicked at this exact spot of Goleta Beach. Oh the memories!!!

On the Grid

Although I had a blast with my family and friends, I was still alittle sad because my Eddie was stuck working for the entirety of my birthday weekend and missed out on all of my birthday brunches, dinners, and drinks. But it's ok because he made it up to me earlier last week with a semi-surprise dinner at one of our favorite places...Roy's Restaurant!

Not only was I excited about eating at Roy's with my man, but I finally had the opportunity to wear this amazing dress that I bought online months ago lol! It's a gorgeous white dress with caged paneling on the front and back of the dress. It's detailed with puffed capped sleeves, contrast black trimming, and two front slits.

I kept the styling simple for this black and white dress because there was already so much going on. I paired the amazing dress with a pair of simple black suede Jeffrey Campbell heels, a Luv AJ cuff, and a Valentino clutch.

Flow(er)

Although it's almost been a week since my birthday, I am STILL celebrating! It turns out that I'm kind of celebrating this whole month of October with trips to Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, the Grand Canyon, and Portland!

In addition to these trips, I bought myself an old lady gift...an outdoor grill for my relatively new home (so be ready for some BBQ fun, friends)! After assembling that monster, I had Papa Pleng grill up some ribeye steaks for my actual birthday dinner with the family.

Then the following night was spent with some of my friends out in the NoHo Art District at Pitfite Pizza and Brickyard Pub for a casual night of pizza, beer, and darts. This totally felt like a mini UCSB reunion with everyone back together again like the good ol' college days!

The night was just a casual night out with friends, so I decided to wear something pretty simple. I belted a flowy vintage maxi dress, threw on a DOMA leather jacket over it, and paired them with some UGG heeled sandals.

Birthday Brunch

I kept my outfit simple and classy when my parents took me out for brunch this weekend as part of my 24th birthday celebration. We spent some quality family time together while sipping on my favorite thing brunches have to offer...bottomless mimosas! I've probably had the equivalent of 2 bottles of champagne on my own over this entire weekend but it's okay cause it's my birthday and I can do what I want hahaha. Bottomless mimosas at brunch, mimosas every single morning at home, and binging on mimosas and red velvet ice cream with my bestie in bed after hitting up some bars. More post from my birthday to come so stay tuned!

Thank you all so much for wishing me a happy birthday on Friday! I had an amazing weekend with my family and friends and I'll be sure to try and live life to the fullest and make being 24 kick butt! Have a happy Monday, everyone!!!

Blacked Out

Sorry for the blurriness of the pictures. I'm not exactly sure what happened but the pictures are pretty pixely. You can actually click on each picture for a clearer version if you want to see the pictures and not get a huge migraine after. I'm working on trying to figure that out so I'm sorry but we'll all have to deal with it for the time being. Hopefully I can figure it out by the next posting time. :/

For this outfit, I paired a sheer black blouse trimmed with a faux leather collar and pocket with some snake print shorts, thigh high socks, silver capped toe suede oxfords, and a slouchy beanie. Although my whole outfit is totally blacked out, I feel like it still has an element of excitement to it.

In my opinion, these thigh high socks really make the outfit! It just pulls everything together, adds some spunk, and elongates my legs (especially when I pair it with a matching colored shoe). This outfit was just fun putting together and it totally made me feel like a badass lol. You guys should definitely try out the thigh high socks for the cooler months! They're definitely a good alternate for your tights...especially when you're just too lazy to shave! ;)

How cute is this movie set that I happened to stumble upon in Chinatown?! Hope you all enjoy my look and the awesome props I got to play with! And once again, I am so sorry for the crappy quality of the pictures :(

P.S. You should also make sure to check out my last post, "Don't Mesh With Me", for additional styling tips on how to wear all black/monochromatic.
