Feline Fine

This look was inspired by the fresh little stray kitties I found in my yard. I've kind have been more than a little obsessed with them, but how could I not be?!?! Just look at these cute little faces of theirs! If anyone is interested in adopting these babies, let me know! They're both super sweet, playful girls looking for a fun and loving home!

I wore this lion graphic print bodysuit with One Teaspoon cutoff shorts to a bar in NoHo (North Hollywood) with a friend this past weekend. I hadn't been feeling well all week so when I finally began to recover, I took full advantage of the weekend and hopped out of bed for some fun with some friends. For the most part, its been sunny and warm with some random rain/drizzle in certain spots of LA...making it a little hard to get dressed. I completed my look with some high-heeled lace-up  booties, a black beanie with snap button details on the back, and a hooded leather jacket just in case Mother Nature wanted to rain on my parade.

I definitely had a blast this weekend (when I wasn't stuck in bed) and I hope you all did too! Happy Monday!

Angel's Knoll

I was downtown running some errands and attending meetings so I decided to visit Angel's Knoll Park for my lunch break, which was made famous by the amazing movie '500 Days of Summer'. After snapping some shots there, I took a stroll up and down the Angel's Flight stairs a few times for a mini mini-workout lol. Now my body and legs feel like jelly! It's probably due to the fact that I did some serious water aerobics when I got home too. I know...I'm a huge dork like that.

The focal piece of my outfit was this beautiful light pink silk chiffon and tan leather back vest from Maggie Ward. This vest is summery, chic, and sophisticated. I completed the look with an off-white Sanctuary tank tucked into my favorite pair of Level 99 khaki pants with zipper details at the ankles, and some comfy Matiko 'Lilo' perforated loafers (which are absolutely perfect for summer). This outfit was perfect for running errands in but not casual enough to look sloppy during meetings. In a way, it also kind of acted as my workout outfit at Angel's Flight. Hahaha. Happy Hump Day, everyone!

facePALM

My latest obsession has been the romper--easy, relaxed, and super cute. I was running late for a lunch/shopping date with my friend so I grabbed the easiest thing I could find at the moment, which was this romper. This little thing has a halter neck with a front flap (kind of like a skort--skirt short) with very summery and fun colors. I paired it with nude colored heels, a coral necklace, stacked bracelets, and a cream clutch.

I've had this romper for a couple years now, and I've only worn it one time before this because I found out that I was running around town in a weed outfit! Lol.

When I ordered this thing online from Motel Rocks, they advertised it as palm leaves. To be honest, I thought it looked a little suspicious, but I just figured they were palm leaves the way they advertised it. When I wore it and everyone asked me about it, I exclaimed that it wasn't a weed print and it was palm leaves! Then all of my friends laughed and told me the truth. Apparently its common to advertise weed printed clothes as palm leaves, which I had nooo idea! Damn you sneaky sneaky advertisers! I'm such a naive dork! *HUGE facePALM*! Although the rest of the world claims it's weed, I still see it as palms hahaha.

Even though I look like a major stoner when I wear this romper, I'll still wear it because I love the colors, fabric, and shape. Judge me all you want, World! Hahaha

Palazzo Pants Dance Party

Palazzo pants are a necessary summer staple. They're perfect because they're light, comfy, fun, and sophisticated. I especially love them because it provides me with a nice and cool alternative to my usual short shorts. I paired my palazzo pants with my favorite lace crop top of the summer. This is the 3rd time I've worn it on the blog, which is proof that it goes with absolutely everything. I previously styled it for a music festival (here) and for a pool party (here). I kept the rest of my outfit simple with minimal jewelry and my Chloe purse.

I wore this outfit to lunch with an old college friend, Kara, and then spent the second half of the day at my boyfriend's grandpa's 90th birthday!

Kara and I hadn't seen each other in 2 years so we spent our afternoon catching up over salad, pizza, and bottomless mimosas. I'm pretty sure this is the longest lunch I've ever had. Want to guess how long we were at the restaurant for?! We were there for 6 whole hours hahaha. I'm honestly surprised we didn't get kicked out.

After my "lunch" with Kara, I headed over to my boyfriend's grandpa's birthday party where we celebrated 90 years of happiness and health. I had a blast with my boyfriend's family playing with the babies, eating way too much food, and dancing like an idiot with Erika. Check out the super embarrassing and goofy video of us at the bottom of the post where we're pretending like we actually know how to dance.

Little Miss Sassy Pants

I've been feeling a little spunky and sassy so I decided to bust out a pair of my "sassy pants". I have quite a few of these "sassy pants" that are just kind of out there, bold, and outrageous. I love them because it reflects my ridiculous personality. I know I may come off as "girly" and maybe even sometimes"pretentious" from my outfit posts, but my friends know that I am quite the character. I'm such a goober and I'm darn proud of it! I mean...I can't even keep a straight face for my pictures. I'm always busting out laughing.

Trust me, I have tried multiple times to take the typical blogger pictures and pose seriously but it's just not in my nature lol. I have to smile because I just love to laugh and be happy. There's so much to be grateful for, so lets all enjoy our lives before it's too late.

These crazy pants of mine are from one of my favorite stores, LF. They carry mostly European brands and can be pretty pricey but their pieces are so unique. I actually scored these babies on sale! They went from over $200 to about $40 or $50! I paired the busy printed pants with a light weight short sleeved sweater and stilettos. In order to keep my outfit from becoming a little too outrageous, I kept it simple by pairing the pants with a white top and neutral colored heels.

Hope you all have a fantastic week and don't forget to laugh alot!

Nailed it!

Shoes: UGG 'Luella' Heeled Sandals (here)
Rings: Tom Tom 'Pyramid Spike' and "Chevron Mini' (here and here)
Nails: by me
I'm a huge fan of painting my own nails because why should I pay someone else to do my nails when I can probably do as good a job as them or even better? Plus...I got the Asian gene and I'm just naturally that good lol. In all seriousness, I think I did an awesome job on my nails this time around and I'm proud enough to really show them off! As much as I love them, I don't think they really compliment my outfit very well but it is what it is.

I consider this look a bit of a classier causal look because the blouse is just  really cute and dainty with the tiny bow details on the pocket and the girly ruffles on the sleeves. And my nails probably look better with an edgier look, which I typically reserve for the nighttime when I let my inner badass really come out hahaha.

Since I headed to lunch with a friend, I opted for more of a daytime outfit. I paired this girly For Love & Lemons top with some denim  shorts, my UGG heeled sandals, and my brand new but old Miu Miu purse (I've had this purse for awhile but it's been tucked away in it's box because I tend to abuse my handbags and this was one of the first designer purses I actually bought all on my own with my hard earned grownup money).

Side note - I'm not really a fan of UGGs but let me just tell you...these are some of the comfiest heeled sandals ever. I feel like I could walk a million miles in them. Plus I think these heels were pretty cute, which is a nice change for the brand. They were actually cute, comfy AND they didn't have fur in them! I remember when even their sandals had fur...who wears sandals with fur?!?! Ayayay! Unless it's used solely in your private home, I don't think it's acceptable to own them!!! Just kidding...kind of. Anyway, I hope you all had a great start to your weekend! Have fun and stay safe!
