Sheer Pleasure

I also picked up this exquisite little number on my crazy shopping spree at the Isabel Marant pour H&M collaboration launch that I wrote about in "I maRant to H&M".

This silk chiffon dress far exceeded my expectations. The lookbook really does not do this dress any justice (even though Milla Jovovich looks stunning as always). You have to see the dress in person to appreciate the intricate details that include: the subtle metallic embroidery throughout the dress, the peacock-like pattern, the puffed shoulders and ruching on the sleeves, the cinched waist, and the raw edges.

I really love how this dress just effortlessly oozes class and elegance with its conservative yet form-fitting silhouette and intricate details. This dress hits just below the knee so in order to elongate my legs, I styled it with a nude heel. I kept the rest of the look simple for my boyfriend's family brunch with minimal jewelry, makeup, and a nude lip. For a nighttime look, this dress would look spectacular with some classic black pumps, a long black coat, and some red lips to add some drama. Now show me how you girls styled your Isabel Marant pour H&M silk chiffon dresses!

facePALM

My latest obsession has been the romper--easy, relaxed, and super cute. I was running late for a lunch/shopping date with my friend so I grabbed the easiest thing I could find at the moment, which was this romper. This little thing has a halter neck with a front flap (kind of like a skort--skirt short) with very summery and fun colors. I paired it with nude colored heels, a coral necklace, stacked bracelets, and a cream clutch.

I've had this romper for a couple years now, and I've only worn it one time before this because I found out that I was running around town in a weed outfit! Lol.

When I ordered this thing online from Motel Rocks, they advertised it as palm leaves. To be honest, I thought it looked a little suspicious, but I just figured they were palm leaves the way they advertised it. When I wore it and everyone asked me about it, I exclaimed that it wasn't a weed print and it was palm leaves! Then all of my friends laughed and told me the truth. Apparently its common to advertise weed printed clothes as palm leaves, which I had nooo idea! Damn you sneaky sneaky advertisers! I'm such a naive dork! *HUGE facePALM*! Although the rest of the world claims it's weed, I still see it as palms hahaha.

Even though I look like a major stoner when I wear this romper, I'll still wear it because I love the colors, fabric, and shape. Judge me all you want, World! Hahaha

Flower Power

I don't know about you, but I love how throwing on anything floral immediately gives me the feeling of being feminine and beautiful. There are just some days where we all feel a little blah, so I fix this feeling by glamming it up and adding some floral or lace to my look.

Earlier this week, I had a graduation to attend but I wasn't feeling very pretty so I threw on this little number. This beautiful hi-low, flowy, floral dress is an oldie but a dependable goodie. This definitely did the trick and resulted in me feeling instantly confident and beautiful. So try this the next time you aren't feeling your prettiest and it'll work wonders for you too! And if all else fails, just go buy yourself a bouquet of flowers and that's guaranteed to do the trick. Don't ever underestimate the power of some beautiful flowers, girls!

To complete my outfit, I threw on a yellow blazer to give my look a bit more of a polished and springy feel while pairing it with some nude colored sky-high heels. My friend once told me that her grandma always told her "Keep your head, heels, and standards high" and I couldn't agree more. Must have been a very wise woman!

P.S. Congratulations to my boyfriend's beautiful and brilliant little cousin that just graduated from high school! I love you, Erika, and I am so darn proud of you!
