I took ballet & figure skating classes for awhile when I was a kid, but I quit them both when I realized I wasn't any good at being elegant or feminine. I eventually came to terms with the fact that I was never going to be graceful or coordinated enough to be the amazing dancer I always dreamed of becoming. But hey...that hasn't stopped me from at least faking it. Plus, my signature top knot helps "ballerina-ize" any outfit lol.

When it comes to leather/faux leather shorts, I personally like to stick with a classic black style because I know that I'll get the most wear out of them. Leather shorts can be surprisingly versatile, sleek, and edgy.

Styling Tips:

For a more tailored look: I suggest tucking a nice silk or chiffon button down blouse into your shorts and pairing it with some classic pumps. And maybe top off the outfit with a nice tailored blazer for a more polished look. Try a printed blazer for more sass and edge. 

For a sportier look: I suggest tucking your favorite simple plain t-shirt into your shorts, and layering a cute bomber or Letterman jacket over. I would probably pair this outfit with some sleek girlie heels to contrast the sportiness of the look, but I think Converse sneakers would be a great alternative if heels just aren't your thing. 

I kind of did a casual look with some feminine touches for my outfit. I kept it simple with a knit sweater slightly tucked into my shorts, but added some pointed toe pumps and a clutch. If the weather were any cooler, I would have opted for tights under my shorts and a nice thick, chunky knit sweater. How would you girls style your leather shorts?! Feel free to email me and show me! Sheer Pleasure

I also picked up this exquisite little number on my crazy shopping spree at the Isabel Marant pour H&M collaboration launch that I wrote about in "I maRant to H&M". 

This silk chiffon dress far exceeded my expectations. The lookbook really does not do this dress any justice (even though Milla Jovovich looks stunning as always). You have to see the dress in person to appreciate the intricate details that include: the subtle metallic embroidery throughout the dress, the peacock-like pattern, the puffed shoulders and ruching on the sleeves, the cinched waist, and the raw edges.  

I really love how this dress just effortlessly oozes class and elegance with its conservative yet form-fitting silhouette and intricate details. This dress hits just below the knee so in order to elongate my legs, I styled it with a nude heel. I kept the rest of the look simple for my boyfriend's family brunch with minimal jewelry, makeup, and a nude lip. For a nighttime look, this dress would look spectacular with some classic black pumps, a long black coat, and some red lips to add some drama. Birthday Brunch

I kept my outfit simple and classy when my parents took me out for brunch this weekend as part of my 24th birthday celebration. We spent some quality family time together while sipping on my favorite thing brunches have to offer...bottomless mimosas! I've probably had the equivalent of 2 bottles of champagne on my own over this entire weekend but it's okay cause it's my birthday and I can do what I want hahaha. Bottomless mimosas at brunch, mimosas every single morning at home, and binging on mimosas and red velvet ice cream with my bestie in bed after hitting up some bars.
